5Gs
The "5Gs of SDG" is not an officially endorsed framework by the United Nations, but in sustainability and development dialogues, some educators and practitioners use the 5Gs to highlight strategic or thematic pillars that support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A widely accepted interpretation of the 5Gs includes:

Governance
- Refers to effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels.
- Closely tied to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and underpins transparent SDG implementation and monitoring.
Gender Equality
- Central to achieving social justice and unlocking the full potential of populations.
- Specifically addressed in SDG 5, but also cross-cutting across all SDGs.
Growth (Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth)
- Advocates for economic development that benefits all and respects environmental limits.
- Directly addressed in SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
Green Economy / Environment
- Promotes the transition to low-carbon, resource-efficient, and socially inclusive systems.
- Aligns with environmental SDGs (13, 14, 15) and the broader green economy agenda.
Global Partnerships
- Emphasizes international cooperation, knowledge exchange, and resource mobilization.
- Captured in SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
